T04n0212_p0660a14║ 護身惡行,  自正身行,  護身惡者,
T04n0212_p0660a15║ 修身善行。

T04n0212_p0660a16║護身惡行者,何以故說身惡行?自知內過、知
T04n0212_p0660a17║他人過故名惡行,惡已充具顏色變異,或以
T04n0212_p0660a18║手拳相加毀壞形體,此惡眾事今世後世不
T04n0212_p0660a19║獲安隱,或墮餓鬼畜生中形貌醜陋;若生人
T04n0212_p0660a20║中才不及人;有異梵志為犬所嚙,梵志恚怒
T04n0212_p0660a21║身心熾盛,要治惡犬使不暴虐。父母告曰:
T04n0212_p0660a22║「梵志猶犬嚙婆羅門,婆羅門復可嚙犬不
T04n0212_p0660a23║也?」梵志報父母:「要當治犬使不縱毒。」父母告
T04n0212_p0660a24║子:「不隨我教,恣汝所為。」是時,梵志捉犬反縛
T04n0212_p0660a25║以杖捶打,打時有二非義:草索傷犬足:復令
T04n0212_p0660a26║失糞。此眾生類亦復如是,諍小致大以用害
T04n0212_p0660a27║身。諸佛世尊大慈加被,訓誨眾生令不諍訟,
T04n0212_p0660a28║然眾生類不從其教,瞋恚所纏,復生二非義,
T04n0212_p0660a29║為眾苦所縛,當復經歷地獄餓鬼畜生之惱,
T04n0212_p0660b01║雖得為人形貌醜陋,如是眾惱不可稱記,是
T04n0212_p0660b02║故世尊說護身惡行。護身惡行已,獲何功德?
T04n0212_p0660b03║答曰:「獲二功德名譽善本。云何為二?若處在
T04n0212_p0660b04║天宮受福自然,七寶殿堂懸處虛空,若生人
T04n0212_p0660b05║中顏貌端正,見者歡喜皆來歸仰,在大眾中
T04n0212_p0660b06║為數千萬眾所見尊奉,如月獨明眾星迴附。」
T04n0212_p0660b07║是故說曰,護身惡行。自正身行者,得何功德?
T04n0212_p0660b08║有何名譽?答曰:「於現世中亦得名譽,若使身
T04n0212_p0660b09║滅命終亦得名譽。」云何於現身中而得名譽?
T04n0212_p0660b10║若於今身進止行來,為數千萬眾所見供養;
T04n0212_p0660b11║若身壞命終,生善處天上。自正身行復有何
T04n0212_p0660b12║功德?答曰:「弊邪魅暴惡鬼神不能得便,怨
T04n0212_p0660b13║讐伺捕不能得捉。」於是頌曰:
T04n0212_p0660b14║「怨讎彌滿世,  欲求得其捉,
T04n0212_p0660b15║ 種惡還自加,  猶蛇反自毒。」

T04n0212_p0660b16║形為苦本心為禍首,是故世尊說曰,自正身
T04n0212_p0660b17║行也。護身惡者何以故說?惡行所趣非真,如
T04n0212_p0660b18║所說。惡財惡子惡服惡處惡土此皆名惡。或
T04n0212_p0660b19║緣知親作惡,或緣非知親作惡,是故如來說
T04n0212_p0660b20║護身惡者也。修身善行者,善行有二業,如所
T04n0212_p0660b21║說。善財善子善服善處善土,身修善行,於佛
T04n0212_p0660b22║法聖眾父母尊長,盡行恭敬無他越逸,是故
T04n0212_p0660b23║世尊說修身善行也。
T04n0212_p0660b24║ 護口惡行,  自正口行,  護口惡者,
T04n0212_p0660b25║ 修口善行。

T04n0212_p0660b26║護口惡行者,何以故說?自知內過、知他人過,
T04n0212_p0660b27║故名曰惡行,若已瞋恚發口罵詈虛生過
T04n0212_p0660b28║咎,使數千萬眾皆生惡念,而不自覺亦復不
T04n0212_p0660b29║知,後受惡報咸共懷瞋恚,彼罵者後入地獄
T04n0212_p0660c01║餓鬼畜生受苦無量。若生人中多被誹謗言
T04n0212_p0660c02║不信用。能守護口者,自致福報,亦生天上快
T04n0212_p0660c03║樂自然,若生為人不被麤言。是故說曰,護
T04n0212_p0660c04║口惡行也。自正口行者,為得何等功德?答曰:
T04n0212_p0660c05║「為數千萬眾所見歎譽,傳相告語,此人良謹
T04n0212_p0660c06║與行相應,言不麤獷,不求彼短不譏彼失,口
T04n0212_p0660c07║齒端嚴言不強吃。」是故說曰,自正口行也。護
T04n0212_p0660c08║口惡者者,其義有二:或當賢聖默然,或當法
T04n0212_p0660c09║說義說。夫欲出言先當自理,言致敗身非獨
T04n0212_p0660c10║一人,若吐麤言為人所疾,進止行來無人敬
T04n0212_p0660c11║待。是故說曰,護口惡者也。修口善行者,諸修
T04n0212_p0660c12║善行之人心懷仁慈,吐言柔軟不傷人意,為眾
T04n0212_p0660c13║多人所見愛念,是故說曰,修口善行也。
T04n0212_p0660c14║ 護意惡行,  自正意行,  護意惡者,
T04n0212_p0660c15║ 修意善行。

T04n0212_p0660c16║護意惡行者,於意三行最為上首,意一念頃
T04n0212_p0660c17║能使城郭村落盡為丘野。如契經所說:「『云何
T04n0212_p0660c18║居士!汝頗聞有流沙空野、隨沙門空野、閑靜
T04n0212_p0660c19║空野不?』長者白佛:『聞有流沙曠野、隨沙門空
T04n0212_p0660c20║野、閑靜空野。』佛告居士:『云何居士!誰造此流
T04n0212_p0660c21║沙空野、隨沙門空野?』長者白佛:『皆由神仙意
T04n0212_p0660c22║念惡故,呪術所作,有此流沙空野、隨沙門空
T04n0212_p0660c23║野。』」如《修行經》說:「十九人執修正行,唯有一人
T04n0212_p0660c24║不應在閑靜之處,以其口業心惡,持行之人
T04n0212_p0660c25║不許此人在曠野間。即告彼人曰:『汝心懷惡
T04n0212_p0660c26║所念不善,宜在人間誦習經典佐助眾事,役
T04n0212_p0660c27║心亂意應成道果。汝設在空之中欲求空意,
T04n0212_p0660c28║意方念亂恒生不善,自致滅亡不至善道。』」不
T04n0212_p0660c29║護意者,隨意所種,入地獄餓鬼畜生中。設得
T04n0212_p0661a01║為人,輒墮卑賤,為人所疾見則不歡。能護意
T04n0212_p0661a02║者,若生天上,封受自然,金床玉机七寶殿堂,
T04n0212_p0661a03║若生為人,人所愛敬。是故說曰,護意惡行也。
T04n0212_p0661a04║自正意行者,意所馳念難禁難制,由意生念
T04n0212_p0661a05║能使成事,身危妙行退轉垂辦之證,轉為凡
T04n0212_p0661a06║夫,是故說曰,自正意行也。護意惡者,息意寂
T04n0212_p0661a07║然不生想著,修意正行意專一,是故說曰,
T04n0212_p0661a08║護意惡也。修意善行者,意念善行、身修正法、
T04n0212_p0661a09║口宣其教,二事由意乃至無為,是故說曰,意
T04n0212_p0661a10║修善行也。
T04n0212_p0661a11║ 身棄惡行,  及口惡行,  意棄惡行,
T04n0212_p0661a12║ 及諸穢惡。

T04n0212_p0661a13║身棄惡行者,捨身惡行永滅無餘,是故說曰,
T04n0212_p0661a14║棄身惡行也。及口惡行者,口所宣說不陳
T04n0212_p0661a15║惡法,亦莫布現惡事,是故說曰,及口惡行也。
T04n0212_p0661a16║意棄惡行者,意不念諸不善法,不生害心於
T04n0212_p0661a17║眾生類,是故說曰,意棄惡行也。及諸穢惡
T04n0212_p0661a18║者,諸外不善法與意并者,既不自利又不利
T04n0212_p0661a19║人,盡當求滅不令使生,是故說曰,及諸穢
T04n0212_p0661a20║惡也。
T04n0212_p0661a21║ 身修善行,  口善亦爾,  意修善行,
T04n0212_p0661a22║ 無欲盡漏。

T04n0212_p0661a23║身修善行者,身不造惡行。身行有三:不殺生,
T04n0212_p0661a24║不盜,不婬妷,修此三業正其身行,供養佛法
T04n0212_p0661a25║及眾僧,掃灑補治故壞塔寺,是故說曰,身修
T04n0212_p0661a26║善行也。口亦爾者,口有四過,不妄語、不麤
T04n0212_p0661a27║言、不鬪亂彼此、不綺語,讚歎說佛功德,歎法
T04n0212_p0661a28║及比丘僧,承事父母師友長者,是故說曰,
T04n0212_p0661a29║口善亦爾也。意修善行者,意有三過,不生嫉
T04n0212_p0661b01║妬、恚、癡邪見,但生眾善功德,不隨倒見墮邪
T04n0212_p0661b02║部界,是故說曰,意修善行也。無欲盡漏者,無
T04n0212_p0661b03║欲之人無量曠大無限之用。盡漏者,諸陰蓋
T04n0212_p0661b04║持入不復興起。是故說曰,無欲盡漏也。
T04n0212_p0661b05║ 身修善行,  口意亦爾,  於今後世,
T04n0212_p0661b06║ 永生善處。

T04n0212_p0661b07║身修善行者,問曰:「上己身修善行,有何不及
T04n0212_p0661b08║復更重演?」報曰:「如來所化受教若干,或有欲
T04n0212_p0661b09║廣聞其義,或有欲略說旨要,略旨要者粗舉
T04n0212_p0661b10║五陰苦形,欲廣聞其義者,一一斷別身口
T04n0212_p0661b11║意行,各隨次第以其事類證而解之。復有欲
T04n0212_p0661b12║聞廣說略說,是故如來廣演此偈。如所說身
T04n0212_p0661b13║修善行者,是謂廣說,口意亦爾者,是謂略說。
T04n0212_p0661b14║如來觀前眾生意之所樂,便演其義令得受
T04n0212_p0661b15║化,亦使受化人所願充滿。」凡諸善行饒益眾
T04n0212_p0661b16║生多所成就,是故說曰,身修善行,口意亦爾。
T04n0212_p0661b17║於今世至後世,長夜受樂食福無窮,永生善
T04n0212_p0661b18║處。受福有二:俗福、無漏福。是故說曰,永生
T04n0212_p0661b19║善處也。
T04n0212_p0661b20║ 慈仁不殺,  常能攝身,  是處不死,
T04n0212_p0661b21║ 所適無患。

T04n0212_p0661b22║慈仁不殺者,終不殺害觸惱生類,不劫略他
T04n0212_p0661b23║財,不婬犯他妻。所謂仁者,得履賢聖善法,是
T04n0212_p0661b24║故說曰,慈仁不殺也。能攝身者,晝夜謹慎
T04n0212_p0661b25║以身御行如護吉祥,寧自喪身分受刑斬,
T04n0212_p0661b26║不託形命造不善行。昔有陀利家生七男,
T04n0212_p0661b27║六兄得須陀洹道,小者故處凡夫,母人旃陀
T04n0212_p0661b28║利得阿那含道,兄弟七人盡受五戒為佛弟
T04n0212_p0661b29║子。彼國常儀方俗舊法,旃陀利法要當行殺,
T04n0212_p0661c01║國中設有男女殺盜婬妷及餘重罪,盡使旃
T04n0212_p0661c02║陀利殺之。時國主召彼大兒:「今有應死之徒,
T04n0212_p0661c03║汝行殺之。」其人即向王拜求哀自陳:「願大王
T04n0212_p0661c04║弘恕,身受五戒為佛弟子,不敢行殺,守身謹
T04n0212_p0661c05║慎不念邪非,寧自殺身不以犯戒殺害蟻子。」
T04n0212_p0661c06║時王奮赫天威瞋恚隆盛,告其人曰:「卿為國
T04n0212_p0661c07║民我為國主,不從吾教方更信佛浮說。」尋勅
T04n0212_p0661c08║傍臣速將此人詣市殺之。其人復白王曰:「身
T04n0212_p0661c09║是王民心是我資,恣王所欲殺便殺之。」即將詣
T04n0212_p0661c10║市而梟其首,王問傍臣:「向應死人更有誰存?」
T04n0212_p0661c11║臣報王曰:「餘有彊弟六人。」王勅左右隨次召
T04n0212_p0661c12║來復勅殺人。其人報曰:「身受五戒為佛弟子,
T04n0212_p0661c13║不敢行殺。」王瞋怒盛復取殺之。如是盡喚兄
T04n0212_p0661c14║弟六人,皆言受戒不敢行殺,王瞋恚盛盡使
T04n0212_p0661c15║殺之。次復召小弟母子俱來,王見母來倍復
T04n0212_p0661c16║瞋恚。「前殺六子母不送行,今召小子何故便
T04n0212_p0661c17║來?」母白王曰:「願聽微言以自宣理。前六子者
T04n0212_p0661c18║盡得須陀洹道,正使大王取彼六人碎身如
T04n0212_p0661c19║塵者,終不興惡如毛髮。今此小者處在凡夫,
T04n0212_p0661c20║身雖修善,未蒙道法潤身,是故我念子未得
T04n0212_p0661c21║道,或能失意畏王教令,自惜形命毀戒行殺,
T04n0212_p0661c22║故送來耳。彼當毀戒隨王教令,不仁行殺,身
T04n0212_p0661c23║壞命終入泰山地獄,憐愍子故是以送來。」王
T04n0212_p0661c24║復問母:「前死六子盡得須陀洹道耶?」答曰:「盡
T04n0212_p0661c25║得。」王復問母:「母身為得何道?」母答曰:「得阿那
T04n0212_p0661c26║含道。」王聞斯語自投于地,諸臣扶起以水灑
T04n0212_p0661c27║之,久乃醒寤稱怨自責:「我為自造無量罪
T04n0212_p0661c28║根,放心建意殺六須陀洹。」身意煩惱坐不安
T04n0212_p0661c29║席,即自嚴辦香油酥薪,取六死屍而耶旬之,
T04n0212_p0662a01║起六偷婆興敬供養,日三懺悔意願滅罪漸漸
T04n0212_p0662a02║微薄。復出財貨給彼老母,至於齋日數數懺
T04n0212_p0662a03║悔,冀得罪薄免於地獄。是故說曰,常能攝身
T04n0212_p0662a04║也。須陀洹、斯陀含、阿那含、阿羅漢,守護禁戒
T04n0212_p0662a05║無所缺減,凡夫人雖守護戒,心如飄風不能
T04n0212_p0662a06║恒定,是故說曰,常能攝身。是處不死者,得果
T04n0212_p0662a07║之人,捨男子身還得男子身,捨賢聖身還得
T04n0212_p0662a08║賢聖身,終不懷憂畏地獄餓鬼畜生,阿那含
T04n0212_p0662a09║身即彼天上不還世間,阿羅漢永無愁惱,諸
T04n0212_p0662a10║累已盡入無為境惔然寂滅。是故說曰,是處
T04n0212_p0662a11║不死也。所適無患者,於彼無為境終無煩惱,
T04n0212_p0662a12║亦無愁憂苦患,亦無死亡戀慕,是故說曰,所
T04n0212_p0662a13║適無患也。
T04n0212_p0662a14║ 不殺為仁,  常能慎言,  是處不死,
T04n0212_p0662a15║ 所適無患。

T04n0212_p0662a16║不殺為仁者,終不信讒毀之人於中起害心,
T04n0212_p0662a17║是故說曰,不殺為仁也。常能慎言者,若被罵
T04n0212_p0662a18║詈麤言惡語,計皆空寂音響無形,猶如賢聖
T04n0212_p0662a19║終無恚怒。設有所為,斯皆權化非實恚怒,或
T04n0212_p0662a20║意內自念不發於口,設發於口尋懷慚愧。是
T04n0212_p0662a21║故說曰,常能慎言,是處不死,所適無患也。
T04n0212_p0662a22║ 不殺為仁,  常能慎意,  是處不死,
T04n0212_p0662a23║ 所適無患。

T04n0212_p0662a24║得向之人,設遭百千苦惱,身墮迴波深淵,
T04n0212_p0662a25║若墮火坑熾焰之中,終不懷懼令心變易,晝
T04n0212_p0662a26║夜調心不令越逸,猶如得勝怨讎死而加毒,
T04n0212_p0662a27║得向之人心除結使猶怨不盡。復重思惟:「彼
T04n0212_p0662a28║修行人觀心成敗五陰所趣,移有漏心至無
T04n0212_p0662a29║漏境,無常苦空無我,已獲無漏守護不失。何
T04n0212_p0662b01║以故?彼修行人每自思惟:『從永劫以來染著
T04n0212_p0662b02║生死,流轉刀劍世中,恒修此意造罪無端,為
T04n0212_p0662b03║意役使如人使奴僕。我今已勝調伏心識,今
T04n0212_p0662b04║重守護使不越逸。』」是故說曰,不殺為仁,常能
T04n0212_p0662b05║慎意,是處不死,所適無患。
T04n0212_p0662b06║ 慎身為勇悍,  慎口悍亦然,
T04n0212_p0662b07║ 慎意為勇悍,  一切結亦然,
T04n0212_p0662b08║ 此處名不死,  所適無憂患。

T04n0212_p0662b09║夫言勇悍者,博古攬今高才明德技術備具,
T04n0212_p0662b10║與智相應捨諸惡法,身所修行不處貪欲,是
T04n0212_p0662b11║故說曰,慎身為勇悍也。慎口悍亦然者,口所
T04n0212_p0662b12║吐言先笑後語不傷人意,是故說曰,慎口悍
T04n0212_p0662b13║亦然也。慎意為勇悍者,意已柔調不興惡念,
T04n0212_p0662b14║是故說曰,慎意為勇悍也。一切結亦然者,問
T04n0212_p0662b15║曰:「身口意行三事已辦,有何缺漏而云一切
T04n0212_p0662b16║結亦然耶?」答曰:「如所說應來往進止縫作補
T04n0212_p0662b17║綻,應為而不為,此皆身所應行闕而不行。彼
T04n0212_p0662b18║修行人能具此諸行。」是故說曰,慎身為勇行。
T04n0212_p0662b19║口行有餘者,應隨賢聖教律,而不為不習男
T04n0212_p0662b20║音女音,彼此音皆悉不習,是謂口餘行。何謂
T04n0212_p0662b21║意有餘行更造有緣受生之分?此是意餘行,
T04n0212_p0662b22║彼執行人能見此諸行,身口意餘行盡能具
T04n0212_p0662b23║足,是故說一切結亦然也。此處名不死者,滅
T04n0212_p0662b24║盡泥洹無終無始,無來無往無生滅著斷,是
T04n0212_p0662b25║故說此處名不死也。所適無憂患者,所以言
T04n0212_p0662b26║有憂者,由衣被飲食床臥具病瘦醫藥、奴婢
T04n0212_p0662b27║僕使象馬車乘國財妻息,皆生憂患,無此則
T04n0212_p0662b28║無患,是故說所適無憂患也。
T04n0212_p0662b29║ 護身為善哉,  護口善亦然,
T04n0212_p0662c01║ 護意為善哉,  護一切亦然,
T04n0212_p0662c02║ 比丘護一切,  能盡苦原際。

T04n0212_p0662c03║護身為善哉者,能一意守護身,諸天世人稱
T04n0212_p0662c04║歎其德,天龍鬼神八部之眾盡歎其德,晝夜
T04n0212_p0662c05║祐助勸成究竟,是故說護身為善哉也。護口
T04n0212_p0662c06║善亦然者,若有習非弊惡之業,或被罵詈為
T04n0212_p0662c07║人所毀,執心護口終不還報,諸天世人皆共
T04n0212_p0662c08║稱善,是故說護口善亦然也。護意為善哉
T04n0212_p0662c09║者,若人杖割截形體復被罵詈,彼執行人
T04n0212_p0662c10║持心潔淨不興恚怒,諸天世人皆稱其善,是
T04n0212_p0662c11║故說護意為善哉也。護一切亦然者,於身
T04n0212_p0662c12║口意外諸餘行謹慎攝護,是故說護一切亦
T04n0212_p0662c13║然也。比丘護一切者,執行比丘護身意及餘
T04n0212_p0662c14║外行,威儀禮節悉皆備具,是故說比丘護一
T04n0212_p0662c15║切也。能盡苦原際者,以具此行豈當趣惡
T04n0212_p0662c16║道耶?盡斷地獄畜生餓鬼道,人中苦人中痛
T04n0212_p0662c17║能悉斷之,是故說能盡苦原際。
T04n0212_p0662c18║ 護口意清淨,  身終不為惡,
T04n0212_p0662c19║ 能淨此三者,  便逮神仙道。

T04n0212_p0662c20║護口意清淨者,於三毀敗中,壽敗劫敗結敗,
T04n0212_p0662c21║此名三敗。釋迦文佛出現於世,在濁世中人
T04n0212_p0662c22║壽百歲,翼從弟子不守護口過多犯禁律,聖
T04n0212_p0662c23║人在世猶尚毀戒,況千載末能存戒律耶?佛
T04n0212_p0662c24║契經說:「後千歲末正法欲沒盡時,有七穢行
T04n0212_p0662c25║顯布於世。云何為七?若有人百歲持戒,彈
T04n0212_p0662c26║指之頃為惡知識所壞。二者久行慈心,彈指
T04n0212_p0662c27║之頃為瞋恚所壞。三者薄賤威儀不隨其教。
T04n0212_p0662c28║四者互相是非諍於勝負。五者在國城村落,
T04n0212_p0662c29║鬪亂彼此傳東至西。六者貪著利養遂致疫
T04n0212_p0663a01║病。七者從凡夫至羅漢,皆被毀辱而取滅度。」
T04n0212_p0663a02║所以致誹謗者,皆由不護口故。尊者滿足阿
T04n0212_p0663a03║羅漢說曰:「恒訓化餓鬼。」往詣餓鬼界,見一餓
T04n0212_p0663a04║鬼形狀醜陋,見者毛竪莫不畏懼,身出熾焰
T04n0212_p0663a05║如大火聚,口出蛆蟲膿血流溢,臭氣遠徹不
T04n0212_p0663a06║可親近。或口吐焰火長數十丈,或耳鼻眼身
T04n0212_p0663a07║體支節放諸火焰長數十丈,脣口垂倒像如
T04n0212_p0663a08║野猪,身體縱廣一由旬,手自抓摑舉聲號哭
T04n0212_p0663a09║馳走東西。時尊滿足問餓鬼曰:「汝宿作何罪
T04n0212_p0663a10║咎,今受此苦?」餓鬼報曰:「吾曩昔在世時,出家
T04n0212_p0663a11║作沙門,戀著房舍慳貪不捨,身持威儀出言
T04n0212_p0663a12║臭惡。若見持戒精進比丘輒復罵辱,或戾口
T04n0212_p0663a13║弄,或偏眼視,或戾是作非,或戾非作是。自恃
T04n0212_p0663a14║豪族謂為不死,造諸無量不善之本,寧以利
T04n0212_p0663a15║刀自割其舌,如是從劫離劫甘心受苦,不
T04n0212_p0663a16║以一日之中誹謗精進比丘。尊若還閻浮利
T04n0212_p0663a17║地者,以我形狀可戒勅諸比丘,善護口過勿
T04n0212_p0663a18║妄出言,設見梵行持戒比丘者,念宣其德。自
T04n0212_p0663a19║受餓鬼形以來,經數百歲數千歲數萬歲數
T04n0212_p0663a20║千百萬歲受如此苦惱,我却後命終當入地
T04n0212_p0663a21║獄中。」是時,餓鬼說此語已,舉聲號哭自投于
T04n0212_p0663a22║地,如泰山崩天飜地覆。斯由口過故使然矣,
T04n0212_p0663a23║能守護口過者受福無窮。迦葉如來出現於
T04n0212_p0663a24║世,敷演法教教化已周,於無餘泥洹界而般
T04n0212_p0663a25║泥洹。泥洹後時有三藏比丘名曰黃顏,眾僧
T04n0212_p0663a26║告勅:「一切雜使不命卿涉,但與諸後學說諸

T04n0212_p0663b27║學敷演經義。喚諸受義人名目眾獸之類,雖

T04n0212_p0663b29║數千萬劫受苦無量,餘罪未畢從地獄出,生
T04n0212_p0663c01║彼大海,受水性形一身百頭。是故比丘當精
T04n0212_p0663c02║勤護口,出言柔和勿吐麁語。汝觀此獸由其
T04n0212_p0663c03║惡言故便致此罪。」時諸比丘聞佛教誡,又
T04n0212_p0663c04║見彼獸形苦如茲,道心遂固,悔本所習心念
T04n0212_p0663c05║口言形之大患,能攝口心者終無惡聲流布
T04n0212_p0663c06║於外。是故說曰,護口意清淨也。身終不為惡
T04n0212_p0663c07║者,若身行惡,為諸佛世尊所不稱記,若生地
T04n0212_p0663c08║獄餓鬼畜生中受苦難計。設身修善立諸德本,
T04n0212_p0663c09║為諸佛世尊所見歎譽,若生天上封受自然,
T04n0212_p0663c10║若盡苦際,於無餘泥洹界而般泥洹。是故說
T04n0212_p0663c11║曰,身終不為惡也。能淨此三者,身行口行意
T04n0212_p0663c12║行,此三業淨為獲何果?答曰:「為天龍鬼神八
T04n0212_p0663c13║部之眾所見尊奉,便為得至滅盡泥洹,不為
T04n0212_p0663c14║凡夫所共牽連,逮得仙人道。」所謂仙人者,諸
T04n0212_p0663c15║佛世尊是也,所演言教一言片辭,上中下義盡
T04n0212_p0663c16║趣於道。是故說曰,能淨此三者,便逮仙人道。

T04n0212_p0663c18║佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。爾時世尊,無數
T04n0212_p0663c19║大眾前後圍繞而為說法。時,有栴摩那祇在
T04n0212_p0663c20║舍衛城裏,時摩那祇宿舊怨深,罪識不除,身
T04n0212_p0663c21║帶木杅以衣覆之,出舍衛城至祇桓精舍,
T04n0212_p0663c22║遙見世尊與無數大眾而為說法,歡喜踊躍
T04n0212_p0663c23║不能自勝。「今日要當在大眾中毀辱瞿曇沙
T04n0212_p0663c24║門,令我等師得致供養。」在於大眾而說此偈:
T04n0212_p0663c25║「說法甘悅人,  口出無量義,
T04n0212_p0663c26║ 使我懷姙身,  不羞此宜適。」

T04n0212_p0663c29║「妄語地獄近。」摩那祇報曰:「作之言不作。」佛

T04n0212_p0664a03║眾,聞此女語皆共信用。「此女孤獨少失父母,

T04n0212_p0664a07║釋提桓因在如來後,執扇而扇,內自思惟:「此
T04n0212_p0664a08║弊梵志女,云何乃興此意誹謗如來?」即化為
T04n0212_p0664a09║白鼠,木杅,斷聲震。大眾無不見者,其中
T04n0212_p0664a10║不篤信者悉皆愕然:「此為何聲,乃震四遠?」其

T04n0212_p0664a18║之類墮八大地獄,入十六鬲子,是故說曰,妄
T04n0212_p0664a19║語地獄近。作之言不作者,其罪有二:一者實
T04n0212_p0664a20║作而犯之;二者妄語,作而言非。此罪最重其
T04n0212_p0664a21║報無量,是故說曰,作之言不作也。二罪後俱
T04n0212_p0664a22║受者,其二重罪,殃禍之本亡身喪命,智者所

T04n0212_p0664b03║所,道逢暴雨,雷電霹靂,道側有神寺,房舍

T04n0212_p0664b05║犍連入寺便住,不見女人;女人遙見舍利弗
T04n0212_p0664b06║等,即便失精墮地。時,瞿波利比丘復從後來,

T04n0212_p0664b10║廟內,見有女人顏貌端正,作弄女姿像如犯

T04n0212_p0664b12║舍利弗、目連等,自稱智慧神足誇世獨步,神
T04n0212_p0664b13║通智達謂為第一,今乃與此放牛女人犯婬
T04n0212_p0664b14║交接,斯現事如是。世豈有聖人耶?我今躬自
T04n0212_p0664b15║見,不從人聞。」得是歡喜即出寺廟,徒跣涉雨
T04n0212_p0664b16║至世尊所,頭面禮足在一面立。時,瞿波利比
T04n0212_p0664b17║丘前白佛言:「舍利弗、目連等,纂行極弊造凡
T04n0212_p0664b18║夫業。適從城出,道遇暴雨入寺避之,見目連
T04n0212_p0664b19║等與牧牛女人交接,我躬見之實不虛誑,女
T04n0212_p0664b20║人今故在寺,現可驗之。」爾時世尊三稱瞿波
T04n0212_p0664b21║利字而告之曰:「止止比丘!勿吐斯言!可發善
T04n0212_p0664b22║心向舍利弗、目連等。所以然者?此二賢人,梵
T04n0212_p0664b23║行已立所作已辦。」時瞿波利復重白佛:「我今
T04n0212_p0664b24║實信如來,如所教勅,然舍利弗、目連所行穢
T04n0212_p0664b25║惡,實見婬妷犯於梵行。」佛復告瞿波利:「止止
T04n0212_p0664b26║比丘!無令於如來前自墜命根。舍利弗、目連
T04n0212_p0664b27║者,行過三界淨如天金,豈當有此婬欲意乎?」
T04n0212_p0664b28║瞿波利白佛:「誠如來教,但弟子躬見犯欲,若
T04n0212_p0664b29║今如來不見信者,知復如何?」說此語已即前
T04n0212_p0664c01║禮足涉路而去,還至靜室復自思惟:「舍利弗、
T04n0212_p0664c02║目連身犯穢行我實見之,然今世尊特不見
T04n0212_p0664c03║信。」時,四天王夜非人時,往至瞿波利所,謂瞿
T04n0212_p0664c04║波利曰:「舍利弗、目連等賢善之人,三界福田
T04n0212_p0664c05║無有過者,何為興念誹謗,自墜罪苦?」比丘問
T04n0212_p0664c06║曰:「卿是何人?」報曰:「護世四天王。」比丘報曰:「汝
T04n0212_p0664c07║等諸天,何為捨自然伎樂來至此山?」四王報
T04n0212_p0664c08║言:「故為比丘來至此耳,可發善心於彼二賢。」
T04n0212_p0664c09║比丘告王:「但還宮殿,不相豫事。」天即還宮。去
T04n0212_p0664c10║未經時,釋提桓因復從後至,謂比丘曰:「可發
T04n0212_p0664c11║善心於彼二賢。」比丘報釋提桓因曰:「且守汝
T04n0212_p0664c12║天福,不豫汝事。」時拘翼復道而還。富梵天復
T04n0212_p0664c13║來到比丘所,語比丘曰:「可發善心於彼二賢。」
T04n0212_p0664c14║比丘答曰:「汝是何人?」報曰:「吾是富梵天。」比丘
T04n0212_p0664c15║告曰:「世尊不記汝得阿那含耶?」報曰:「如是。」「汝
T04n0212_p0664c16║設得阿那含者,何由至此乎?」富梵天即便還
T04n0212_p0664c17║去。即其夜,瞿波利舉身生疱大如芥子,轉如
T04n0212_p0664c18║胡豆,漸如桃杏,亦如鼻羅菓等,瘡遂壞敗,膿
T04n0212_p0664c19║血流出臭穢難近,身壞命終入阿浮度地獄
T04n0212_p0664c20║中,千具犁牛而耕其舌。 爾時世尊告諸比丘:
T04n0212_p0664c21║「守護口過慎勿誹謗,夫誹謗之生皆由貪嫉,
T04n0212_p0664c22║昨瞿波利比丘來至我所云:『舍利弗、目連等,
T04n0212_p0664c23║習近惡智與女人交接。』吾尋呵制:『止止比丘!
T04n0212_p0664c24║勿出此言!可發善心於舍利弗目連所。』如是
T04n0212_p0664c25║再三。波利比丘謗心遂熾,釋提桓因、富梵
T04n0212_p0664c26║天及四天王,皆來到波利比丘所,慇懃諫曉
T04n0212_p0664c27║曰:『可發善心於彼舍利弗、目連等。』波利比丘
T04n0212_p0664c28║即復報曰:『各還汝天宮,吾躬自覩彼二賢穢
T04n0212_p0664c29║行,如是何為干豫其事?且還速歸,勿復重宣。』
T04n0212_p0665a01║尋即各還其所。於夜波利比丘身生疱瘡即取
T04n0212_p0665a02║命終,膿血流出,入阿浮度地獄中,千具犁牛
T04n0212_p0665a03║而耕其舌。是故比丘!當興勇猛攝護身口意
T04n0212_p0665a04║過,見諸精進比丘共相敬待如視我無異。」是

T04n0212_p0665a06║「夫士之生,  斧在口中,  所以斬身,

T04n0212_p0665a08║「夫士之生者,出母胞胎宿行不同意性殊異,猶
T04n0212_p0665a09║如有人手執利斧,入山斬伐林木華菓藥草
T04n0212_p0665a10║毀壞成功。今此人間亦復如是,人生於世不
T04n0212_p0665a11║能守護口過,為心所使,造不善本,皆由於舌,
T04n0212_p0665a12║端正醜陋長短好惡,亦由心念口發致此重
T04n0212_p0665a13║罪。是故比丘!心秉牢固守護其口。如是比丘!
T04n0212_p0665a14║當作是學。」爾時諸比丘聞佛所說,歡喜奉行。
T04n0212_p0665a15║ 譽惡惡所譽,  是二俱為惡,
T04n0212_p0665a16║ 好以口會鬪,  是後皆無安。

T04n0212_p0665a18║德,體性柔軟行業真正,多聞廣慧,慈悲四
T04n0212_p0665a19║等育養眾生。如此之類應當毀呰不應歎譽,
T04n0212_p0665a20║是故說譽惡惡所譽也。是二俱為惡者,舍利
T04n0212_p0665a21║弗、目連比丘,修清淨梵行眾德具足,永離塵
T04n0212_p0665a22║埃不與欲會,廣博多智明達三世。然瞿波利
T04n0212_p0665a23║比丘,愚心不革執意牢固,興致誹謗云:「舍利
T04n0212_p0665a24║弗、目連比丘造諸惡業。」如此之類應當歎德
T04n0212_p0665a25║不應興謗。何以故?舍利弗、目連者,持戒多聞
T04n0212_p0665a26║為人導師,處在大眾轉無上法輪,逮得羅漢
T04n0212_p0665a27║諸漏已盡;然彼惡人興致誹謗,不歎其德。是

T04n0212_p0665b16║脫衣裳,五毒加形痛不可忍。眾多比丘見已

T04n0212_p0665b28║有人誹謗賢聖持戒比丘及謗毀如來,虛而
T04n0212_p0665b29║無實,其後受罪,億佛不救。」是故說,諍為少利,

T04n0212_p0665c05║患入尼羅浮地獄中。爾時獄卒阿傍以鐵剛
T04n0212_p0665c06║鉗拔出其舌長數百丈,舒展平正以鐵釘釘
T04n0212_p0665c07║之,以千犁牛犁鏵火然用耕其舌,一日之中
T04n0212_p0665c08║百千萬終死而復生。所以然者?以其惡罪未
T04n0212_p0665c09║除故,當復經三十六五地獄,受苦無量不可
T04n0212_p0665c10║稱記,從彼獄出當受畜生餓鬼,復當經歷數
T04n0212_p0665c11║千萬劫畢其罪苦。若其為人,聾盲瘖瘂六根
T04n0212_p0665c12║不具,語不真正多被誹謗,若行道路橫為人
T04n0212_p0665c13║打。是故比丘當勤修道德,慎莫誹謗賢聖比
T04n0212_p0665c14║丘。誹謗賢聖者其受如是。如是比丘!當作是
T04n0212_p0665c15║學。」爾時諸比丘聞佛所說,歡喜奉行。

T04n0212_p0665c17║ 遠愚修忍意,  念諦則無犯。

T04n0212_p0665c21║其報億劫不息。是故說曰,無道墮惡道也。自
T04n0212_p0665c22║增地獄苦者,當入百千尼羅浮地獄,當復入
T04n0212_p0665c23║三十六五阿浮地獄,身入其中毒痛無量,捨
